The role
As a Head of New Business - Retail at Valtech, you will be responsible for developing robust new business strategies and maintaining a steady pipeline of opportunities. You will articulate the value of digital transformation to potential clients and be skilled at translating trends and technical concepts to C-level executives so they understand and value them.
It is your responsibility to build, grow, and nurture relationships through creating new prospective client relationships and leveraging existing ones within your network. You will confidently drive the creation, development, negotiation, and closing of enterprise-level deals while remaining customer-centric and collaborative across the organization to help clients achieve their business outcomes. You will also work closely with partners such as Google, Microsoft, Adobe, etc., to turn warm leads into tangible opportunities for Valtech.
What you will be doing
1. Proactively identify new opportunities and potential clients to grow the business.
2. Analyze market trends within the Retail sector and stay updated on industry demands and competitor strategies.
3. Develop and implement business strategies to increase competitive advantage.
4. Build and strengthen relationships with customers, suppliers, partners, and vendors through various channels.
5. Collaborate with the Partnerships and Alliances team to assess and develop new partnerships and sales efforts.
6. Manage key client relationships and develop new ones.
7. Represent the organization in pitches and meetings with C-level and executive stakeholders.
8. Leverage experience in digital consultancy selling expertise in Data & AI, Cloud & Platforms, and innovative design solutions.
9. Work with Retail businesses, selling to senior leaders and C-Level executives.
10. Navigate complex negotiations and utilize various sales methodologies effectively.
11. Lead and coordinate teams during RFPs, RFIs, and pitches, highlighting SMEs and team strengths.
12. Maintain excellent time management and project organization skills.
13. Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, making complex ideas accessible.
14. Demonstrate resilience, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills.
15. Work independently and collaboratively as needed.
16. Build a strong network and demonstrate business acquisition skills.
