1:1 Tutor – Northampton Area Location: Northampton and surrounding areas Job Type: Part-Time / Flexible Hours Working Hours: School hours (Monday to Friday) Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications) About the Role We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to pupils in the Northampton area. Sessions will take place either in the pupil's home or within a school setting during school hours. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional educational support, helping them build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their academic goals. Essential Requirements Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school, college, tutoring, or educational setting. Strong understanding of the UK curriculum. Experience planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learner needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Right to work in the UK. Ability to travel to tuition locations across Northampton and surrounding areas. Desirable Qualifications and Experience Experience working with SEND, SEMH, EAL, or pupils requiring additional support. Previous experience delivering one-to-one tuition. Experience supporting pupils who are out of education or at risk of exclusion. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality one-to-one tuition tailored to the individual needs of each learner. Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to support pupil progress. Monitor and record learner achievements and attendance. Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, schools, and other professionals. Maintain accurate records and submit session reports as required.
