Job Overview
Provide full administrative support to the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team within the Oncology & Haematology Directorate. Responsibilities include clerical duties related to the custody and use of Health Records, documentation throughout a patient’s journey, patient confidentiality, telephone call handling, data entry into the Computerised Patient Administration System (PAS), scanning into the Clinical Web Portal (CWP), execution of administrative instructions initiated by CNS, and processing of all incoming and outgoing mail.
Key Responsibilities
* Organise and prioritise workload, making decisions within defined limits.
* Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
* Respond efficiently and courteously to all telephone calls received via the CNS team offices.
* Accurately input, update and amend patient information in PAS and other systems.
* Scan documentation onto CWP.
* Act on all administrative instructions from the CNS team.
* Process deadlines for incoming and outgoing mail.
