About the Role
The school is seeking an enthusiastic and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HLTA who is looking to take on more responsibility, cover lessons across the school, and make a positive difference to pupils’ learning.
As an HLTA, you will work across all year groups, supporting teaching and learning in class, leading small group interventions, and providing whole-class cover when required.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned lessons confidently in the absence of the class teacher.
Support pupils’ learning through small-group work and 1:1 interventions.
Assist with planning and preparation of engaging learning activities.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive choices.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to meet the needs of all learners.
Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
What We’re Looking For
HLTA status (or significant classroom experience with the ability to cover lessons).
Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
Flexibility to work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and support pupils of all abilities.
A proactive, professional, and resilient approach.
A genuine passion for working in primary education.
