This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, a trusted, eco:conscious Multidisciplinary Company, renowned for lending their expertise to the transport, infrastructure, and environmental landscapes. They are actively seeking a keen, experienced Hydraulic Modeller, willing to take on a variety of projects alongside an established team of professionals, based near the charming, historical town of Newbury.

Responsibilities for the role of Hydraulic Modeller Developer include:
* Creating models using software packages such as Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow
* Producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Flood Consequence Assessments, Drainage Strategies, etc.
* Working on Nutrient Neutrality Assessments, hydrological assessments, natural flood management, re:wilding, and wetland management projects
* Supporting colleagues, producing technical reports based on the data collated collaboratively
* Liaising closely with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
Required skills and experience for the role of Hydraulic Modeller include:
* Hold a Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar, relevant discipline
* Experience of working in a hydraulic modelling/flood risk role, within a UK:based consultancy setting
* High proficiency in the use of relevant software systems, including Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow
* Excellent working knowledge of hydrology, including experience of having worked on hydrological projects for residential and commercial projects
* Have a keen interest in flood risk and drainage, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
* Experience of working closely with a range of clients and other stakeholders
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
* Keen interest in data interpretation and manipulation, particularly when applied to report:writing
* Hold a valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Hydraulic Modeller include:
* Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
* A keen interest in climate change and its effects on water:based environments
