1. This role is ideally suited for an early career University lecturer who has some experience but is looking to expand and grow their career
2. The role will entail module leadership and lecture delivery across a number of agriculture modules and will play an important role in our BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Crop Science programme
3. You will become a key member of the team as we continue to expand our curriculum, especially teaching in areas around agronomy, crop science, and vegetable and soft fruit production
4. As an Academic Personal Tutor, you will support students as they transition into and through Higher Education, enabling them to maximise the opportunities Hartpury offers, and to achieve their full potential
5. A candidate with excellent communication skills, and with experience and the ability to work professionally with industry contacts across subject areas would be welcomed.
6. The role requires a passion for educating, influencing and enabling the next generation of graduates to add value to the industry, nationally and globally
7. You will grasp the opportunity to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations and ambitions that will build on current strengths within the department, and across the institution
About You
8. You will hold a teaching qualification or be willing to complete one within two years of appointment
9. You will possess a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject area, with a PhD being highly desirable
10. Ability and willingness to teach across a range of crop-related topics at undergraduate level would be an advantage
11. Relevant industry experience within the subject field would be an advantage
12. Be highly motivated with a commitment to the highest quality of teaching and learning
