We are currently seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join our client’s team at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious infrastructure projects. Our team is delivering a wide range of roads, drainage, and infrastructure works across the site, and we’re looking for a driven individual ready to hit the ground running. The Role As a Section Engineer, you'll play a key role in the engineering function including planning, and supervising works on site. You’ll be part of a high-performing team delivering essential civil infrastructure across a complex and evolving environment. Key Responsibilities: * Managing and overseeing road, drainage, and infrastructure works * Ensuring engineering works are completed to specification * Supervising and mentoring Site Engineers and Operatives * Ensuring quality, safety, and environmental compliance * Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and clients Shift Pattern * 7 days on / 3 days off * 7 nights on / 4 nights off * 9 out of 14 shifts are paid at x1.5 rate (all nights and weekends) * Excellent earning potential due to enhanced rates What We’re Looking For * Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering * Prior experience on large civil infrastructure projects (ideally Tier 1 or major subcontractor) * Strong knowledge of setting out, QA, and site coordination * CSCS card required * Safety-first attitude and ability to work in a highly regulated environment Rate * Competitive day rate (PAYE Umbrella) – up to £520 days * Uplifted shift rates paid (x1.5 for nights and weekends) If you're a motivated Section Engineer with civil infrastructure experience looking for your next big challenge, apply today and join a project that’s shaping the UK’s energy future.
