Job title:Senior Production Planner

Location: Samlesbury (Full-time on site)

Salary:£47,683+

What you’ll be doing:

* Implementing company Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) plans and activities as appropriate
* Analysing of weekly cost and delivery data to inform performance to plan and variances
* Creating and maintaining balanced schedules to meet customer requirements
* Assessing demand and capacity to inform resource solutions
* Supporting the inputs into Integrated Business Plan (IBP) for the full 5 year window
* Undertaking scenario planning to support decision making on future plans
* Supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) inputs
* Supporting engineering change and Make-vs-Buy opportunities
* Supporting the application of Life Cycle Management principles
* Communicating customer demands to the relevant Supply Chain and Procurement teams

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

* Strong understanding of production planning principles and to have MRP experience using an ERP system in a complex manufacturing environment with proven experience.
* Experience in balancing demand and capacity planning. Experience of working on projects is required.
* Be highly proficient in the use of IT, especially the MS Office suite (particularly proficient in the use of MS Excel)

Desirable:

* Hold professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain body, or be willing to work towards professional accreditation and qualification
* Experience within a manufacturing or supply chain environment

The Production Planning team:

As a Production Planner in the Manufacturing Service Delivery Unit (MSDU), you will be conducting capacity planning activities across a wide range of products in a details manufacturing environment. These tasks could range from analysing available capacity across a range of equipment within a given operational area, understanding and developing the assumptions used, factory scheduling, load smoothing, progress monitoring, scenario planning and S&OP involvement

This is a great opportunity for a Production Planner to work on complex, innovative and world leading projects such as Typhoon, Hawk, F-35 and Tempest.
