Overview

EQUANS is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. This role offers home working with some travel required in the Midlands and North West England. The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in the delivery of multiple projects with a value range of £20k to £2m. The post holder will be managing the day-to-day administration and coordination to ensure projects are completed.

We are looking for an individual with previous project management experience, ideally within the FM industry. Great organisation and communication skills.


Responsibilities

* Assist with the delivery of a variety of project work opportunities from within the TFM contract, providing essential assistance and support functions to Project Managers
* Take control of own caseload of allocated non-complex works as appointed by the Head of Projects
* Work with the client to clearly define their brief and develop and agree their Employers Requirements
* Work with consultants, specialists, designers, and sub-contractors to define and document clear and concise scope of work under an Activity Schedule
* Work with wider projects team in understanding the full scope of works in line with the desired project outcomes and business case, within agreed budget requirements, risk profile, and profitability objectives
* Collaborate with commercial colleagues to ensure detailed and compliant tender processes, outcomes and presentations for governance
* Operate within current CDM regulations, acting as client representative and managing appointements and duties of PC & PD
* Embed EQUANS SHEQ practices, conduct Safety Visits, and record Safety Observations
* Ensure full compliance with EQUANS policies and procedures
* Produce and manage the project programme, monitor timescales, identify slippage and risks
* Undertake quality audits and ensure quality metrics are captured and reported
* Support PMO to develop and report on project caseloads and inputs to project management systems
* Show flexibility and innovation in project solutions through the project lifecycle, deconflicting and de-risking where required to ensure quality for client and stakeholders
* Ensure customer acceptance is documented in writing and aligned with project plans
* Maintain complete, current, and properly stored project documents
* Collaborate with colleagues to deliver smooth transition to handover and in-use phase of new assets

* Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation
* Understanding of project management principles
* Experience delivering tasks/projects within a critical environment
* Administration of project deliverables
