Senior Software Developer
Overview:
Heartland School Solutions, the leading provider of innovative child nutrition management and secure online payment solutions to public and private schools in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Developer. You will be joining a team dedicated to growing our C#-based child nutrition management software.
Responsibilities:
The position requires the ability to consistently develop and deliver projects on established time lines and quality expectations. Responsibilities include:
1. Provides input to project plans by supplying accurate time estimates
2. Performs analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs
3. Updates job knowledge by studying modern development tools / programming techniques; participating in educational opportunities; and attending conferences.
4. Participates in code reviews, freely giving and receiving constructive feedback
5. Follows established Agile development methodologies
6. Engages in escalated technical support as required
Qualifications:
7. Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
8. 5+ years of software engineering experience with advanced knowledge of C#, WinForms, ASP.NET MVC, & SQL Server
9. Experience with the following tools/technologies: DevExpress, .NET Core, LINQ, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, Web Services, Git, Azure
10. Solid understanding of relational database design concepts
11. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, proven ability in determining the root cause of problems and the base set of conditions for their occurrence
12. Must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently, and possess a sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments
13. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Bachelor Degree, or equivalent experience, in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
$120,000 - $130,000
