We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and sociable Activities Coordinator to join our team. Your primary responsibility as a Activities Coordinator will involve creating and executing engaging activities tailored to each of our residents. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring and training our staff on how to interact and engage with residents, ensuring that every day is filled with special moments. Your role will involve ensuring that residents' dignity and self-esteem are upheld through meaningful interactions, positive relationships and the freedom to express their individuality.
Responsibilities
• Create and execute engaging activities tailored to residents.
• Mentor and train staff on how to interact with residents to foster meaningful engagement.
• Uphold residents' dignity and self-esteem through positive interactions and relationships.
• Promote an environment where residents can express their individuality.
• Inspire and lead others with a positive, forward-thinking attitude; strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Experience in a care home setting is a plus; previous experience organizing activities or leading groups is beneficial. Be assertive yet flexible in your approach. We value diverse backgrounds among successful Activities Coordinators.
