We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. Salary
£30,900 per annum (unqualified) based on 6 sleeps per month. Salary starts at £25,500 per annum plus £75 per sleep-in on a full-time basis.
Full-Time (40 hours) or Part-Time (20 hours) per week contracts available.
Shift work involves a two-week rolling rota, for example:
* Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
* Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Responsibilities
* Provide support and assistance to children in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to understand individual needs and preferences.
* Assist in developing and implementing personalized care plans tailored to each child's requirements.
* Engage children in activities that promote learning, social interaction, and emotional development.
* Drive to various locations for outings or appointments, ensuring safe transportation.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any significant behavioral or health changes.
* Collaborate with other support staff and professionals for holistic care.
* Utilize IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children is highly desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
* A valid full manual driving license is required for transportation needs.
* Familiarity with creating and following care plans is an advantage.
* IT proficiency for record-keeping and software use is necessary.
* A compassionate nature and genuine desire to support others are crucial.
* A good sense of humor and ability to keep up with current lingo are beneficial.
