Role
We are searching for a customer focused, dynamic, well‑organised, confident, and technically minded Product Service Manager to lead the newly structured Service and Product Quality Control department.
The department is made up of two departments: Service and Repair and Product Quality Control.
Whilst you will oversee the wider team, your day‑to‑day role will be based in our recently refurbished, high‑specification Service lab where no two days will be the same.
Processing returns and repairs, corresponding with customers to resolve problems, liaising with internal departments, conducting rolling stock‑takes whilst following health and safety guidelines is what a typical busy day looks like for the team.
In your role as Manager, you will also be responsible for employee wellbeing, supervising daily tasks, authorising holidays through the digital system, training, and continuous development of your team.
Reporting and inventory management, whilst working within/towards department set KPIs will also be included in this role.
Primary Responsibilities
* Oversee the Service and Product Quality Control department.
* Process returns and repairs.
* Correspond with customers to resolve problems.
* Liaise with internal departments.
* Conduct rolling stock‑takes.
* Supervise and support team wellbeing, training and development.
* Authorise holidays through the digital system.
* Reporting and inventory management within department KPIs.
Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent communication skills with both customers and in‑house personnel.
* Ability to engage confidently with customers to provide a first‑class service.
* Previous experience working as a mechanic or mechanical/electrical service engineer would be an advantage.
* Experience of testing and repairing electrical and mechanical components.
* Supervisory/Managerial experience preferred.
* Team player with a flexible attitude and ability to work on your own initiative.
* Ability to adapt and accommodate changing workloads and deadlines.
* Knowledge of SAP B1 an advantage but is not essential.
* Proficient in Excel and Word – a confident computer user.
* Ideal candidates often come from tool or automotive sectors, but enthusiasm, drive and positivity are also highly valued; we welcome applicants from other sectors with transferable skills.
Salary and Benefits
Our salary range for this role is from £30,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience; we can tailor a package based on your skills and experience should we reach the offer stage.
