Female Family Safeguarding Domestic Abuse Worker – Somerset

The overall purpose of this role is to work with families, where there is an ongoing history of domestic abuse, to achieve their goals and improve outcomes for families.

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Salary: £29,919 per annum for 40 hours per week

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

* A full UK driving licence
* At least 1 year of experience in safeguarding adults or children
* To be female (due to genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010)

The Role

This role involves working as part of a multi-agency team (Family Safeguarding Team - FST), primarily within social care and the local Domestic Abuse (DA) team. The post holder will engage families, conduct needs-led assessments, design and deliver interventions, and broker additional support to safeguard adults and children. They will also raise awareness and support colleagues in understanding domestic abuse dynamics.
