Female Support Worker Location: Leigh Pay rate: £13.91 per hour for all shifts We're seeking a compassionate and resilient female support worker to join a close-knit care team providing personalised support to a bright and curious young person with a unique perspective on the world. The young person resides with their father in a loving and supportive home environment. They have Sturge-Weber Syndrome, visual impairment, well-managed epilepsy, and developmental delay. As they are non-verbal, they communicate through their behaviour and sensory experiences.They enjoy relaxing in a warm hot tub, creating intricate paper shapes, walking barefoot on soft grass, and exploring sensory-rich environments. To thrive, they require a consistent routine, clear boundaries, and a team of understanding individuals who can connect with them on their level. At times, they may become overwhelmed and express their emotions through their behaviour.The ideal support worker will be patient, emotionally regulated, and able to provide a calming presence, particularly during periods of mood change. Shift Patterns Term Time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:30pm – 9:00pm Wednesday: Family Time – no shift Saturday & Sunday: 11:00am – 9:00pm Saturday (Overnight): 9:00pm – 11:00am Non-Term Time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30am – 9:00pm Wednesday: 8:30am – 4:30pm Saturday & Sunday: 11:00am – 9:00pm Saturday (Overnight): 9:00pm – 11:00am You will provide support on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis, mainly 2:1.
