Job Description:
As an Online Teacher at EDClass, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and personal development of our learners.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting learners who are in our virtual classrooms via text and face to face conversations
2. Planning and recording engaging lessons for our online platform
3. Providing constructive feedback and guidance to help students achieve academic success on both a live and face to face support and teaching basis.
4. Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
5. Participating in professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies.
6. Commit to our safeguarding policies and procedures
7. Liaise/ report with schools regarding learner’s behaviour and progress
8. Work alongside other members of the teaching team to continuously drive and improve our practices in our expanding business
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:
1. Qualified Teacher Status
2. A Bachelor's degree in Education and relevant subject area
Current DBS check or willingness to undergo one (ideally on the update service)
Essential Skills:
1. ∙Thorough knowledge of KS3 and KS4 curriculum areas in your subject
2. ∙Confident creating engaging and innovative content for an online platform
3. ∙Confident using technology to teach
4. ∙Confident to record video clips for the website which will follow a Quality Assurance process
5. ∙A sound knowledge of child safeguarding
6. ∙Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. ∙Passion for fostering a love of literature, language, and effective communication.
8. ∙Experience in creating innovative and interactive lessons.
Desirable Skills:
1. ∙Trauma-informed practitioner
2. ∙Flexible and willing to adapt to a fast-paced working environment
3. ∙Understanding of OFSTED
Knowledge of KS2 curriculum
