The Scottish FA is looking for a Performance Analyst who shares our commitment for excellence, inclusion, and teamwork.
As a Performance Analyst, you’ll support our national teams, performance schools, and coaching department. From match and training analysis, to delivering impactful presentations and building digital resources, you’ll provide critical insight that helps drive player and team development.
With a degree in a Performance Analysis-related subject, backed by experience in elite-level youth and/or senior football performance analysis, you will have strong tactical understanding, and proficiency in tools like Hudl (Sportscode, Studio, Insights), Wyscout. Professional and credible, you will be a creative thinker, and an excellent communicator, self motivated and passionate about player development.
Flexibility in the role is essential both in terms of hours and travel.

Key Responsibilities
• Under the guidance of the age specific coaching team and the Performance Analysis Manager, provide performance analysis support across National Teams.
• Assist with the implementation and delivery of a Performance Analysis placements programme which will be our main source of data and video clips.
• Provide lead analysis support to National Teams (youth and senior where required) as directed by the Performance Analysis Manager.
• Support the coaching staff’s ability to provide half time and full-time analysis for assigned matches.
• Deliver concise, detailed, and accurate post-match analysis for all games, being conscious of, the specific game plan.
• Support the use of analysis during assigned games and training to support both pre- and post-match analysis. Ensure its availability for players and coaches after each session.
• Actively encourage the use of analysis within all National Teams within the organisation.
• Contribute to the building of an online resource for players and coaches which supports them as individuals and as a collective utilising the capabilities of Hudl.
• Assist with the development and implementation of the Game Model and associated Performance Analysis support required.
• Ensure all video content is accessible across age groups and coaching groups on our Hudl online platform.
• Engage in collaboration between key footballing departments within the National Team setup.
• Share content, ideas, constructively and challenge Medical, Sports Science, Psychology and Education workflows and methodologies as and when required.
• Support National Teams with data relating to the agreed Game Model KPI’s.
• Any such other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time by the Performance Analysis Manager
