This is a wonderful opportunity for a skilled who thrives in a calm, nurturing environment and has a passion for guiding new parents through the early weeks with twins. The family are looking for reliable overnight support to ensure the babies’ routines, comfort, and feeding needs are met, while also helping parents feel rested and reassured. There will be a quiet space available for the maternity nurse to rest between feeds. Duties Newborn Care (Twins) Deliver gentle, responsive overnight care. Support with settling, winding, soothing, and maintaining a calm overnight environment. Monitoring feeding patterns, nappies, sleep cycles, and wellbeing of babies Offer calm, practical advice to first-time parents adjusting to newborn twins. Provide guidance around night-time routines, comfort techniques, and early development. Assisting with implementing healthy sleep habits from the early weeks. Provide guidance to support breastfeeding and pumping and assist with bottle-feeding and combination-feeding routines. Prepare and sterilise feeding equipment. Respond sensitively to the emotional and physical needs of post natal recovery(including possible post-c-section care awareness). Maintain nursery organisation, cleanliness, and safe sleep spaces overnight. Candidate Requirements: To be considered for this role, candidates must meet all of the usual Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency criteria, which include: Minimum 10 years of professional newborn experience, including twins. Recognised maternity nurse training (MNT, NEST, or equivalent) Proven experience in: Night-only maternity support Sleep shaping and early routine establishment Breastfeeding and lactation support Enhanced DBS Check (on the Update Service or willing to obtain). Paediatric First Aid (up-to-date). Excellent references from previous newborn or multiple-baby placements. Deep understanding of safe sleep guidelines Warm, non-judgemental approach with strong communication skills.
