Data Cabling Engineer
Data Centre & Corporate Projects | UK & International Travel
An experienced Senior Cabling / Smart Hands Engineer is required to support data centre and corporate infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role working in critical environments as part of a skilled delivery team.
Key Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in structured cabling
* Strong data centre and enterprise environment experience
* Installation, termination and testing of copper and fibre cabling
* Confident using Fluke test equipment for testing and fault finding
* Experience installing cable pathways (tray, basket, trunking, fibre runner)
* Rack & stack of network hardware (switches, routers, servers)
* Power and data cabling within server and network racks
* Able to follow patching schedules and technical documentation
* Basic IP addressing under guidance
* Health & Safety qualification ( CSCS / ECS or equivalent )
Qualifications (Essential / Preferred)
* At least 3 manufacturer or industry accreditations (e.g. Commscope, Corning, Panduit)
* Industry-recognised cabling training (CNET, BICSI, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent)
* IPAF and/or PASMA preferred
