Located in Aberdeen, Dee View Court Care Home is a 43 bed specialist service providing expert neurorehabilitation and long term care for adults with complex needs. Our highly skilled team delivers compassionate, person led support in a calm and homely environment where residents are empowered to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
We are now looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance function across the service and ensure the building, equipment and grounds remain safe, compliant and well maintained at all times.
This is a hands on supervisory role where you will work closely with the Service Director while overseeing and supporting the Maintenance Assistant. Your expertise and leadership will play an important role in maintaining a comfortable and secure environment for residents, staff and visitors.
What We Offer
£13.46 to £14.50 per hour depending on experience
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.00 with flexibility required
30 minute unpaid break

What You Will Do
You will carry out a wide range of general maintenance tasks including plumbing, joinery, decorating and minor electrical work, ensuring all areas of the service are maintained to a high standard. You will supervise and support the Maintenance Assistant, allocating tasks, monitoring progress and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
You will maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all compliance checks are completed on time, including water temperature monitoring, weekly fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks and fire safety inspections. You will manage contractor access, review risk assessments and method statements, oversee Hot Works Permits and ensure planned preventative maintenance is completed within required timescales.
You will promote safe systems of work, complete maintenance risk assessments and support the Service Director in maintaining full compliance with property and estate requirements. Above all, you will ensure the environment remains safe, well presented and welcoming for everyone within the service.
What We're Looking For
Experience in a care setting, hotel, education facility or similar environment is desirable
Strong practical skills across plumbing, decorating, carpentry and basic electrical work
Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
Experience supervising or supporting a small team
PAT testing certificate or willingness to undertake training
Valid driving licence
A reliable, flexible and proactive approach
