Responsibilities
* Collect incoming deliveries from pathology reception
* Unpack, check and label gynaecological specimens
* Enter specimen data into the Enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
* Meet hourly productivity targets for specimen processing
* Assist in the HPV sorting room: check request forms, match slides, scan documents into the DART database
* Locate and enter data for investigations and the rejects team
* Number samples and place specimen containers in processing racks
* Separate samples received in error for different departments
* Look up and print patient history on the CSMS system
* Identify and report non-conformities to senior staff
* Adhere to BSPS health and safety procedures, laboratory codes of practice, and departmental SOPs
* Assist with training of new staff
