Unit Manager – Free Range Pig Breeding - King’s Lynn, Norfolk - £40,000 + Benefits
The Job:
We are recruiting a Unit Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a free-range pig breeding unit. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering high standards of animal health, welfare, and operational efficiency. You will oversee daily unit activities, support and manage staff, and ensure production targets and compliance requirements are consistently met.

Our client is a well-established free-range pig producer operating to high welfare and industry standards. The business is professionally managed, welfare-focused, and committed to continuous improvement across its production systems.
The Candidate:
- Minimum of 2years’ experience within the pig sector.
- Strong understanding of breeding unit operations and pig health management
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
- Organised, reliable, and detail oriented
- Confident using production and performance data
- Proactive and solutions-driven approach to challenges
- Strong awareness of health & safety and biosecurity procedures
- Full UK driving licence.
The Package:
- Salary up to £40,000, dependent on experience
- 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
