Role: EMRS Design Analyst
Length: 6 Months
Location: Hybrid, London (1-2 days on site)
We are seeking a self-motivated EMRS Design Analyst to play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of critical market systems, including Contracts for Difference (CfD), Capacity Market (CM), and Nuclear Regulated Asset Base (RAB) schemes.
The successful candidate will:
* Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, contributing to system design activities and ensuring that solutions align with strategic goals.
* Possess strong knowledge of EMRS’s role within the CM, CfD, and RAB schemes, and use this expertise to influence and improve solution designs. Actively participate in all project lifecycle stages, from initial concept through to operational support and decommissioning.
Key responsibilities
* Review vendor design artefacts to ensure adherence to established architectural principles, driving improvements across both functional and non-functional areas, and championing best practices in system design and analysis.
* Build and maintain effective professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrate proficiency in using design patterns and industry-recognised standards.
* Experience with model-driven design using Sparx Enterprise Architect or other UML-based tools is essential. Familiarity with DevOps practices, Jira or equivalent project/issue tracking tools, and delivering software in an agile environment will be highly advantageous.
* Thrive in a challenging environment, take ownership of tasks, and remain flexible and responsive to evolving project demands. Possess a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
