Azile Medical are recruiting a Complex caregiver for our client in Lancashire.
Job Title: Complex Care Carer
Reports to: Senior Carer/Nurse
Rate: £14.5 p/h
Working Hours: 5 days over 7‑day period, with varying shift patterns
Engagement Length: Up to 12 months
Location: Burnley, Lancashire (service premises; may be required to work at other locations with notice)
Driving: Required
Additional Benefit: 1 month free accommodation
Job Overview
To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies, procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse; supporting and enabling service users to maintain skills and interests while delivering person‑centred care unique to each individual; maintaining skills at a current level and undertaking training and development as required.
Role Specific Duties
* Ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing.
* Contribute to the efficient running of the service.
* Support service users to maintain relationships and connections with the local community.
* Follow care plans and other information for supporting service users.
* Inform the Senior Carer/Nurse of any changes in service users’ needs.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of those individuals they support.
Clinical Support
* Assist with nasogastric (NG) feeding and enteral feeding where trained.
* Support individuals requiring PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, catheter care or stoma care and bowel irrigation.
* Identify and report any changes in health condition.
Medication Administration
* Administer medication safely in line with the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
* Follow safe medication procedures and report medication concerns.
Information Security Responsibilities – Carers
* Use only the approved care app/device; keep device and any printouts secure; return/dispose as instructed.
* Record notes accurately and promptly; never store client data on personal apps or share logins.
* Verify identity before sharing addresses, door codes or key‑safe info; speak discreetly.
* Report losses, mis‑sends and suspicious messages immediately.
* Cooperate with supervision, spot checks and training refreshers.
Information Security Responsibilities – All Staff
* Follow ISMS & Data Protection policy; complete training.
* Use approved systems/devices; MFA; strong passwords; lock screens.
* Keep care records (app & paper) secure; no personal devices/apps; sync notes promptly.
* Share on need‑to‑know; verify identity before disclosure; obtain consent where required.
* Report incidents immediately (loss, mis‑send, suspected phishing, unauthorised access).
* Work discreetly in clients’ homes; return/dispose papers as instructed.

* Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service.
* Work in cooperation with multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users.
* Maintain and develop relationships with family, friends and other people important in the service user’s life, if desired by the service user.
