Contract Manager – Roofing & Cladding at Lindum Group – Peterborough
Our KGM Roofing division based in Peterborough has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. Working on multiple projects, the majority of KGM’s clients are within a 70 mile radius of the office, with occasional national work as required.
Overview
This role involves leading project delivery from handover to completion, managing on-site resources and ensuring client expectations are met in terms of dates, quality, and safety.
Responsibilities
* Lead projects from handover to completion.
* Manage on-site labour, ensure work is performed to meet dates, quality, and safety standards, and maintain client satisfaction.
* Meet with client representatives regularly, assess works on site, and verify workmanship standards.
* Communicate daily with the operations director and site operatives; provide support, order materials, plant, and coordinate subcontractor support to achieve cost-effective project delivery.
* Maintain detailed records (daily diaries), H&S files, method statements, risk assessments, inductions, and permits.
* Understand and monitor the financial aspects of the works, including allowances and prelim costs; seek efficiencies and opportunities to deliver value for money and profit.
* Collaborate with the team to provide excellent service and aftercare as needed (including leaks and remedials).
* Conduct safety observations and method/risk assessment reviews as required.
Qualifications & Skills
* Ability to work on own initiative or with others with minimal supervision.
* Strong workload management, prioritisation, and planning skills.
* Adaptability to changing client requirements.
* Experience supervising operatives and subcontractors.
* Sound understanding of safety regulations and project controls.
* Excellent construction knowledge to advise clients competently.
* Problem-solving approach to handle a wide range of enquiries.
* Positive representation of Lindum with external contacts.
