This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established independent garage with decades of history, a loyal customer base, and a reputation built the old-fashioned way: quality workmanship, honest advice, and doing the job properly first time.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand for both routine servicing and complex diagnostic work, the workshop is expanding and looking to add a skilled MOT Tester & Vehicle Technician to the team.
THE ROLE
This is a split position, offering variety and balance:
* 50% MOT Testing
* 50% Servicing & Repair Work
You'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer care, working in a professional yet friendly environment where technicians are genuinely supported.

✅ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MOT Testing
* Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
* Accurately record results and advisories
* Maintain MOT bay equipment and compliance
Vehicle Technician Duties
* Routine servicing and preventative maintenance
* MOT-related repairs (brakes, suspension, exhausts, tyres)
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
* Work safely, cleanly, and professionally at all times
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Essential / Preferred
* Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
* MOT Tester qualification (preferred, not essential)
Also Considered
* Level 2 technicians keen to progress and undertake MOT Tester training
Additional Requirements
* Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
* Full UK driving licence
* Basic computer literacy
* Positive attitude and willingness to develop
