A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
Two personal assistant’s are required for an elderly gentleman living in Llanishen. He has Alzheimer’s and will require support with some personal care in the mornings and for social calls.
He enjoys listening to music and going out for walks.
HOURS OF WORK
Hours would be approx 13.5 hours a week broken down as-
30 minutes every morning to shower everyday and shave twice a week
Take Stephen out in the community
2 hours out on Monday
3.5 hours out on Thursday
3 hours out on Saturday
40 minutes each way to drop to spectrum on Wednesday (mileage included)
RATE OF PAY
£14.80 an hour & up to 15 miles p/w @ 41p per mile
TASKS INVOLVED
1. Support with morning routine- showering everyday and shaving twice a week
2. Support out in the community to planned activities through the week
3. Ensure his safety at all times
4. Transport calls on a Wednesday, for PA to take him to Spectrum centre and ensure he is in there, settled and safe; then go back to centre later to pick him up and return home.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
5. Someone with dementia/Alzheimer’s experience is desirable but not essential
6. Car driver is essential
7. Reliable, dependable, punctual, adaptable and committed
8. Resilient and confident
