Our client is a leading design and build contractor delivering critical clean and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to sustained growth, they are looking to appoint a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to take a leading role within their London-based team.
This is a senior position offering real influence over technical delivery, standards, and team development within a highly respected water-focused consultancy.
The Role
* Lead the electrical design of clean and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design
* Act as technical authority for electrical engineering across multiple schemes
* Produce, review, and approve electrical designs, specifications, and calculations
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to engineers within the team
* Work closely with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary design teams
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements
About You
* A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
* Extensive experience in water or wastewater infrastructure projects
* Strong knowledge of LV / HV systems, MCCs, control panels, and associated infrastructure
* Proven experience leading electrical design teams or complex work packages
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
* Chartered Engineer status (IET or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
