Role Overview: The Senior Energy Engineer position will focus on the identification and quantification of energy and water efficiency opportunities associated with new and existing buildings across all systems, equipment and energy producing structures including, but not limited to, HVAC and central energy plants, lighting, controls, and automation. Senior Energy Engineer will be responsible for the proposal, development and evaluation of energy-related projects or programs delivered by EMCOR to reduce energy costs and/or improve energy / water efficiency. What you'll do:
1. Perform on-site energy efficiency audits that are focused on HVAC / Utility systems and associated control systems and lighting energy efficiency opportunities
2. Analyse potential opportunities, create proposals and present findings to client.
3. Work with site operation team to optimise system performance i.e. via BMS setting optimisation.
4. Recommend system operations based on current client needs and building usage.
5. Research emerging technologies and standards for implementation into company practice and project implementation
6. Conduct site visits to verify installation and operation of technologies including ownership of site metering systems
7. Co-ordinate and inspect on-site work and installations performed by suppliers, consultants and contractors
8. Work with project site staff, client staff and maintenance teams to ensure accurate operation within design parameters
9. Work with Energy Data Analyst to review consumption before, during and after implementation phases
About the role
Who you'll be:
10. Experience in similar role or field. (Desirable)
11. Experience in facilities/utilities operation and maintenance. Required system experience HVAC, Steam generation systems, Chilled water generation.
12. Experience in Refrigeration systems and F-Gas / Natural refrigerant applications an advantage
13. Building Services Degree qualified or working towards (Desirable)
14. Knowledge of BMS systems is essential and proficiency with Metasys with access to modify code desirable.
15. Project management skills (change control, budgets, planning and tracking)
16. Energy management – CEM qualified or equivalent desirable
