Introduction:
Alpha Omega Securities is seeking a professional Security Officer to join our team in the Nottingham area. This role offers regular weekend shifts with opportunities for overtime to cover holidays and sickness.
Role Responsibilities:
* Wear the company-branded uniform at all times while on duty.
* Maintain a professional, approachable, and presentable appearance.
* Complete all site paperwork accurately and file it according to procedure.
* Ensure smooth handovers by passing on all relevant information to colleagues.
* Demonstrate strong English skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) to complete detailed and accurate reports.
* Act as the first point of contact for visitors, providing a professional meet-and-greet service while also enforcing site rules politely and respectfully.
* Follow all duties outlined in the Site Assignment Instructions.
* Escalate any issues beyond your remit to the appropriate authority.
* Safeguard the well-being of staff and customers during opening hours.
* Be physically able to remain on your feet for extended periods and regularly use stairwells and fire escapes as part of the role.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Security Officer within the security industry.
* A valid frontline Door Supervisor SIA Licence.
* A full UK Driving Licence, or reliable means of travel to and from site.
* Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
* Ability to provide a full 5-year employment background check in line with BS7858 standards.
Shift Pattern:
* Friday & Saturday: 13:30 – 22:30 (8-hour shifts)
* Potential to progress into a full-time role.
Pay Rate:
* £12.21 per hour
