Neonatal Nurse - Band 5

To provide a fully integrated nursing service in the Acute and Community sectors, working in partnership to provide a high quality sustainable service for neonatal patients and their families within Cwm Taf University Health Board.
The Post Holder will be required to ensure the highest standard of specialist patient care, which reflects the quality of standards and mission of the Health Board, and contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures within their sphere of responsibility.
The Post Holder will carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care for the benefit of babies and their carers in accordance with agreed protocols.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. The candidate does not need to be fluent; we consider speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above an advantage when short‑listing.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 staff nurses to join our team. Based at the Neonatal Unit in Prince Charles Hospital, successful candidates will work with neonatal patients as part of the nursing team and across both sites, which includes Princess of Wales Hospital.

The Health Board operates a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5‑hour shift, inclusive of either one 30‑minute or two 30‑minute unpaid breaks. These shift patterns are subject to review and the Health Board reserves the right to change working arrangements. * Some post‑registration experience would be an advantage, e.g. working with families

* Good communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written
* Welsh language skills (Level 3 and above / B1) are desirable for this role
