Housing Options Officer needed in Kirkby in Ashfield, £22.99ph
PAYE - Reference: OR10998
* Work to prevent and relieve homelessness by offering advice and support to individuals facing housing challenges.
* Consider and assess homeless applications in accordance with the Housing Act 1996 Part 7, as amended by the Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
* Provide clients with a personalised Housing Plan to improve their housing options.
* Make decisions and recommendations on homelessness cases, following legislation and relevant case law.
* Assess clients' needs, explore options, and make housing-related decisions for those at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
* Assess Homeless Applications from initial contact to s184 decision.
* Engage with clients and multiagency staff in person, over the phone, and via Teams.
* Ensure risk assessments are completed and referrals made for clients to be considered for all housing options.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
