About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our fantastic team at our site in Kent.
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will support the day‑to‑day operations of both mobile and fixed plant, alongside general site duties. You will work closely with the wider team to deliver the site plan, ensuring stock levels are maintained, production targets are met, and housekeeping is kept to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Operating fixed and mobile plant on site
Operating the weighbridge
Working collaboratively with the team to provide customers with high‑quality materials and on‑time deliveries
Supporting the Supervisor in achieving daily and weekly production targets
Following all SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies and procedures
Ensuring plant operations meet all safety requirements
Completing Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality-related duties
Conducting plant inspections, reporting defects and supporting remedial actions
Maximising plant availability through safe and efficient operation
Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the sitePlease note: Flexibility and adaptability are key, with overtime available to support the site’s production demands.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Proven experience driving and operating mobile plant (e.g., Loading Shovel, Telehandler)
Knowledge of aggregate operations
Good timekeeping and adaptability to operational needs
Strong communication skills, including raising issues with management
A full UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
Desirable (training provided for the right candidate):
Previous experience in a Wharf, Plant, Quarry, or Heavy Manufacturing environmentWhy Tarmac
