Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of construction skills and be capable of working on various building projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople. As a Builder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed to high standards of quality and safety.
Duties
* Carry out carpentry tasks, including framing, installing doors and windows, and constructing structures.
* Perform roofing duties, ensuring proper installation and maintenance of roofing systems.
* Execute construction painting tasks, providing finishing touches to enhance the aesthetic appeal of buildings.
* Engage in plumbing work, including the installation and repair of piping systems.
* Undertake masonry tasks such as bricklaying and stonework for structural integrity.
* Conduct welding operations for metal structures and components as needed.
* Apply electrical experience to assist with wiring and installation of electrical systems.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction activities.
* Participate in fabrication processes to create custom components for specific projects.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
* A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
