Are you an experienced Band 6 Midwife who is committed to providing quality care to pregnant women and their families? Could you drive forward change to improve the antenatal service? If so we are looking for you! We have a fixed term vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated Midwife to join our Antenatal Clinic Team. This incorporates working with Doctors in the Consultant clinics, undertaking booking appointments, working the Antenatal day unit (ANDU) and Early pregnancy assessment unit (EPAU).
You will work as part of our friendly team, providing care to women in the East Cheshire area and beyond. You will have previous experience delivering antenatal care and be a dynamic midwife keen to be part of this busy department and partake in service improvement and implement changes. You will be provided with an excellent induction programme and training to fulfil the role requirements.
An experienced Midwife who has the confidence and skill to be able to provide high standards of clinical care throughout pregnancy.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
* Maintain and demonstrate high standards of research based women centring care.
Qualifications
* NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) Registration
* Evidence of CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
* Registered Midwife with NMC, degree or equivalent in Midwifery
Knowledge & Skills
* Evidence of excellent clinical skills
* Be aware of political issues affecting midwifery care
Experience
* Ability to manage the Antenatal clinic in the absence of the Band 7 midwife
* Ability to work without supervision and utilise autonomy
* Demonstrate leadership skills
* Ability to manage difficult situations
* Evidence of advanced clinical skills
* Ability to initiate and manage change

Salary
£39,959 to £48,117 a year (subject to job matching)
