Senior Officer Strategic Research and Enterprise Development at University of Wolverhampton.
The University of Wolverhampton’s Research and Enterprise Directorate (RED) is looking to appoint a Senior Officer to drive positive change and significant growth across the university. The role will focus on strategic bidding, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and engaging with key funders to secure impactful research and enterprise projects.
Responsibilities
* Take responsibility and oversight of the university’s strategic bidding portfolio.
* Identify strategic and collaborative opportunities, leading bid development and proposal writing.
* Engage with partners and facilitate interactions with academic and professional services to ensure quality and credible strategic applications.
* Develop and manage a university‑wide directorate of expertise, initiating interdisciplinary discussions and collaborations across RED.
* Deliver and manage a range of innovative initiatives to support university‑wide collaboration, including sandpits and other interdisciplinary forums.
* Lead strategic funder relationships with identified key funders for university benefit.
Qualifications
* High level of emotional intelligence with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the university.
* Proven track record of supporting and writing successful strategic collaborative applications to R&E funders at an institution of higher education.
* Experience working effectively with key stakeholders at local, regional and UK levels.
* Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with varied audiences.
* Comfortable working flexibly and at pace in a rapidly changing environment with a positive, solution‑focused approach.
Salary – UW9 £41,064 – £48,822 per annum.
