Duties as Exams Officer: Manage the administration of all internal and external examinations. Liaise with exam boards, invigilators, teachers and senior staff to ensure timely arrangements. Organise exam timetables, seating plans and access arrangements. Prepare examination venues, materials and documentation. Ensure compliance with JCQ regulations and school policies. Process entries, amendments and certification accurately. Brief and support invigilators; oversee the secure storage and handling of exam papers. Manage results days, including distribution, queries and follow‑up actions. Maintain accurate records and provide reports as required. Uphold safeguarding expectations and ensure pupil confidentiality at all times. Ideal Exams Officer: Previous experience in an Exams Officer or exams administration role is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines. Confident using MIS systems and digital administrative tools. Effective communication skills when liaising with staff, pupils and exam boards. Calm, reliable and able to manage confidential information appropriately.
