About the role We are seeking a Civil Labourer to immediately join our team on a permanent full-time basis. You will play an important role as a team member within the Civil Operations area of Council’s City Presentation Department. You will be required to undertake labouring and other duties as directed and may be required to work in a range of areas including roads, drainage and concreting. The position requires a commitment to ongoing training, flexibility and multiskilling within the City Presentation Department to develop and maintain the required skills and competencies of the position. This position operates on a 76-hour fortnight with a Rostered Day Off once a fortnight. Essential criteria General civil labouring experience Ability to work as part of a team Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively Ability to deal in an appropriate manner with the general public Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card Knowledge of and commitment to WHS and EEO principles Commencing Salary: $56,825.00 - $65,778.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation and an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award. You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.
