Job Purpose:
The Maths KS4 Leader will be responsible for leading and managing the Key Stage 4 Mathematics curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, and supporting the academic progress of students. The role involves strategic planning, curriculum development, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Principal Responsibilties
Curriculum Leadership:
Develop and implement the KS4 Mathematics curriculum in line with national standards.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and make necessary adjustments.
Ensure the curriculum is engaging, challenging, and accessible to all students.
Teaching and Learning:
Lead by example in delivering high-quality Mathematics lessons.
Support and mentor KS4 Mathematics teachers to improve teaching practices.
Utilise data to track student progress and implement interventions where necessary.
Student Achievement:
Set high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
Analyse assessment data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Develop strategies to support students in achieving their full potential.
Professional Development:
Organise and lead professional development sessions for the Mathematics department.
Stay updated with the latest educational research and best practices in Mathematics teaching.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the department.
Communication and Collaboration:
Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders about student progress and departmental initiatives.
Collaborate with other departments to support cross-curricular learning.
This role is open to start from January 2026.
