This is a very exciting opportunity to join our ambitious production team at e5 Bakehouse!This is a new role at E5 Bakehouse requires a highly organised and skilled individual to support both Pastry and Bread teams in all day-to-day operations. We are committed to using ingredients that, where possible, are locally sourced and organic, whilst promoting a creative and innovative menu that changes seasonally. We work with incredible produce, including our own freshly milled heritage wheat flour, to make viennoiserie, cakes,pastries and sourdough bread.
This role offers an opportunity to lead production teams containing approximately 20-25 people, that not only aims to create gorgeous products but is also one that puts inclusivity, sustainability, a nurturing work environment and community at the heart of what we do. A key focus of this position is driving commercial success by enhancing revenue opportunities and implementing cost-saving efficiencies across all production streams. As Head of Production, you will play an important role in administrative tasks such as costings, recipe development and recipe documentation, while also establishing guidelines for quantities, and maintaining a high quality, particularly for new members of the team. Training and managing the team will be vital to this role, so we're looking for someone with great communication skills and strong leadership experience.
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of management experience, ideally in a production setting.
Salary: Between £40-£45k per annum depending on experience.
You will be working 45 hours per week, including availability on the weekend.
