Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.
This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.
This role is office based.
Responsibilities include:
* Designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
* Collaborating with a product development team on hardware products and security solutions.
* Creating and maintaining electronic hardware for custom-designed security products.
* Modifying existing designs and working on new product designs with multidisciplinary teams.
* Supporting product verification, troubleshooting reported defects, and contributing to library parts management.
Training and development: You will receive training and support, including a training budget for external courses, and time dedicated to innovation and research.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in the design and testing of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
* Understanding of product and system design and development.
* Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.
Beneficial but not essential:
* Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant Degree (2:2 or higher).
* Experience with electronic schematic capture, PCB design, RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
* Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.
Personal skills: Keen to learn, collaborative, committed, innovative, adaptable, proactive in planning, and clear in understanding partner needs.
Role activities:
* Designing, developing, and documenting high-quality electronic PCB systems.
* Verifying designs through tests and peer reviews.
* Supporting products, investigating defects, and contributing to project planning.
