We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Asbestos Surveyor to join our Property and Asset Management team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for surveying domestic and commercial properties to identify asbestos-containing materials and ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice.
You’ll carry out asbestos management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys, providing accurate and detailed data to support safe property maintenance and improvement works.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake asbestos Management Surveys in line with HSG264 using electronic data collection systems.
* Conduct Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) and Re-inspection surveys as required.
* Record and report the presence and condition of asbestos-containing materials accurately.
* Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and contractors.
* Manage your own diary to achieve agreed survey targets and KPIs.
* Ensure data accuracy and assist with quality checks of survey reports.
* Maintain compliance with asbestos regulations (CAR 2012) and internal safety procedures.
* Keep up to date with legislation, best practices, and developments in asbestos management.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is methodical, self-motivated, and confident working independently in a varied environment. You’ll have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* P402 (Surveying & Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings) or RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a lead asbestos surveyor.
* Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and digital survey tools (TEAMS experience desirable).
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
* A full UK driving licence.
