Our client, a forward-thinking multi-disciplinary consultancy, is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior BIM Technician to join their growing Cardiff team.

As a Senior BIM Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering data-rich 3D models and detailed 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Revit across a wide variety of sectors – from healthcare and education to commercial, residential, and leisure projects.
You’ll be supported by experienced engineers, collaborate with national BIM and digital engineering communities, and help shape innovative design solutions that make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on modelling tasks, producing high-quality Revit models and 2D outputs
* Set up and manage MEP project models, ensuring model health and consistency
* Coordinate services using clash reports, resolving design issues across disciplines
* Review, integrate, and document external models for change control
* Take part in internal and external model reviews, sharing constructive feedback
* Mentor junior team members and support training initiatives
* Apply automation tools (e.g., Dynamo, RF Tools) to streamline workflows
* Support project teams with CDE systems (BIM 360 / ACC), including change and information management
About You
You’re a confident Revit user with hands-on MEP project experience. Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive, you can take ownership of your work while collaborating effectively with colleagues and project partners.
Essential skills & experience
* Strong Autodesk Revit (MEP) expertise
* Experience with CDE systems (BIM 360 / ACC)
* Knowledge of clash detection and model coordination
* Familiarity with automation tools (Dynamo preferred)
* Ability to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to training
Desirable software skills
* Revit, BIM 360 / ACC, Navisworks Manage (required)
* AutoCAD, Solibri, Microsoft Excel, Dynamo / RF Tools (desirable)
