Our growing company is searching for an experienced candidate for the position of Operations Process Manager with a bias towards technical and quality.
Reporting into the General Manager, the main purpose of this role will be to analyse, develop and optimise a key working area at QK Cold Stores (Marston).
You will look at ways to improve efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness of the Oil Plant and the Defrost areas on site. You will be part of a team managing the day-to-day operations, and ensuring all operations are carried out as smoothly, efficiently and cost effective as possible in line with business requirements/ processes and to ensure demand is met.
Duties
* Manage and organise calibration of equipment for the Oil Plant and Defrost area.
* Oversee audit close outs (internal and external) to ensure they are signed off acceptably.
* Promote an environment of employee engagement in the workplace.
* Provide support and guidance to the team working in these areas to ensure standards are maintained and improved where possible.
* Carry out induction training with new employees.
* Attend GMP audits with the Technical department.
* Assist with customer visits.
* Coordinate weekly meetings with the wider QK team and follow up on actions within timescales.
* Sit on the HACCP team and attend meetings.
* Coordinate and follow up on jobs raised on Shire.
* Ensure process areas comply with food safety standards.
* Support the Technical department with any investigations of any non-conformances, breakages, complaints and any other issues raised.
* Aid the Technical department with customer audits and visits.
* Co-ordinate any trials and provide assistance to the technical department to ensure paperwork is completed and ensure processes and procedures are followed.
* Provide cover for other managers and team leaders in nominated departments.
* Support the Technical department when swabbing and cleaning validations are carried out.
* Co-ordinate decanting of products to supply Oil Plant.
* Looking at all areas for improvement and efficiencies
* Involvement in labour planning
* Member of Extended Leadership Team, which involves taking a keen interest in all areas of the site to ensure that all departments are working cohesively towards the same goal
Skills
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed decisions.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Proven leadership capabilities, demonstrating the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving common goals.
* Proficiency in process mapping tools and software applications relevant to process management.
