Are you interested in Materials Testing? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Driver Technician, as well as playing a vital role in helping our business succeed.
As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a committed Driver Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a dependable, dedicated and flexible Driver Technician to join our UKAS accredited Materials team. As a member of Materials, it is key that you are able to thrive in a team environment, as well as independently. The fundamental part of the role is to determine the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing will be undertaken in line with a range of British, European and American standards so a good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures is required.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
* Collections of concrete and materials samples
* Transfer of samples across the UK
* Direct contact with our client
* IT Skills excel/booking system
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
* Valid clean driving licence
* You are physically fit and able to move large volumes of concrete cubes and materials samples
* Ability to work independently and follow schedules and deadlines
