Job Description
Due to current business requirement, this water treatment company that specialises in various water treatment and water hygiene disciplines is seeking a smart, competent and multi‑skilled Water Treatment Engineer in and around the Harrow area and will welcome applications from Watford, Wembley, Edgware and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong chemical, technical, plumbing and water hygiene/water treatment background with varied experience in this role and the water treatment industry.
* Well‑versed with industry legislation.
* Competent in Microsoft Office.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Purpose of the Role
Covering various contracts including residential, commercial and industrial properties.
Key Responsibilities
* Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleaning & descaling, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems and water softeners.
* Monitoring client air and water systems to ensure compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
* Cleaning and chlorination of hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
* Temperature monitoring, routine sampling and water system analysis.
* Pre‑commissioning and flushing.
* Interpreting results and maintaining/installing dosing systems.
* Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
* Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients.
* Carrying out plumbing work – servicing and maintaining – TMVs.
Requirements / Attributes
The successful candidate will be versatile, flexible and reliable with the ability to work independently and under pressure, and must be prepared to travel to designated sites.
