Job overview
This fixed‑term, 12‑month role trains trainees to become Low‑Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (LI‑CBT) Practitioners. You will deliver evidence‑based care while completing a Post‑Graduate Certificate from the University of Exeter, starting March 2026.
Responsibilities
 * Deliver LI‑CBT interventions to clients with anxiety, depression and other common mental health problems.
 * Complete academic study and clinical supervision as part of the University of Exeter programme.
 * Work remotely or in a hybrid setting for 2 days a week and attend university teaching in London for 3 days a week.
 * Maintain accurate clinical records, follow safety protocols and meet CPD requirements.
 * Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions and quality‑improvement activities.
Qualifications and experience
 * Undergraduate degree or equivalent Level 5 qualification.
 * Minimum of 1 year paid or volunteer experience in a mental‑health setting directly supporting others.
 * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build therapeutic alliances.
 * Commitment to continuous learning, managing pressure and excellent time‑management.
 * Administrative skills and awareness of diversity, equity and inclusion.
 * Experience of telephone working is desirable.
Other requirements
 * Submit a personal statement outlining your motivation and relevant experience.
 * Be available for remote interviews on 17 or 24 November and to start on 2 March 2026 (induction) and 10 March 2026 (university).
 * Pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and meet UK right‑to‑work and Home Fee status rules.
 * Applicants with completed NHS‑funded psychological training within the last two years are not eligible.
