Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team on a part‑time basis, working three days a week. As our Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall management of the nursery, delivering high-quality care and education to our children.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Nursery Manager in day‑to‑day operations and management
* Ensure the nursery operates in compliance with all regulations and best practices
* Lead and support the nursery team, overseeing their professional development
* Implement and review educational programs aligned with the EYFS framework
* Engage with parents and families to build strong, supportive relationships
* Act as a role model for staff and children, demonstrating best practices in early childhood education
* Assist with administrative and record‑keeping tasks as required
Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
* Previous experience in a deputy or similar role within an early years setting
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* A passion for working with children and supporting their development
* Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Current DBS check and relevant training certifications
