Responsibilities
* Oversee the month-end process
* Develop management accounts
* Provide financial support and analysis across departments
* Manage cash flow and budgeting
* Prepare weekly project reports with variance analysis
* Analyze financial performance and assist in planning
* Oversee sales ledger, payments, and expenses
* Manage payroll processes
* Complete regulatory returns (VAT, HMRC, CIS)
* Prepare statutory accounts at year-end
This role requires the ability to communicate financial data to non-financial managers, with strong commercial awareness and interpersonal skills. The MD aims to drive improvements and efficiencies, so an inquisitive mind and problem-solving skills are essential.
Applicants should be studying towards an accounting qualification or have QBE with relevant experience. Experience in the construction sector, knowledge of Sage 50, and strong Excel skills are desirable. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within the organization.
