Are you an enthusiastic and committed primary teacher with a passion for inspiring learners in Key Stage 2? Reed Education is proud to be partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Pontefract area, and we are seeking a motivated Year 5 Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a long-term temporary basis.
About the Role
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and creating a positive learning environment that supports pupil progress and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
* Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and senior leaders to support whole-school development.
* Promote positive behaviour, resilience and a respectful learning culture.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from dedicated educators who have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
* Strong classroom management skills and a confident, compassionate approach.
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, growth and confidence.
